Daniel Hubert Federkeil (born November 9, 1983 in Medicine Hat, Alberta
) is a retired American football
offensive tackle. He was originally signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2006.
2008: Started three of 12 games at RG…started at RG vs. Chicago 9/7, at Minnesota 9/14 and vs. Jacksonville 9/21...was inactive at Houston 10/5, vs. Baltimore 10/12, at Green Bay 10/19 and at Tennessee 10/27…was reserve and special teamer in remaining games. POST-SEASON: Started at RG in Wild Card Playoffs at San Diego 1/3.
2007: Appeared in first eight games as special teamer and was inactive next four games before being placed on injured reserve with concussion 12/5.
2006: Appeared in two games as special teamer at Tennessee 12/3 and at Jacksonville 12/10…was inactive vs. Cincinnati 12/18, at Houston 12/24 and vs. Miami 12/31…spent games 1-11 on practice squad before being signed as FA on 12/2. POST-SEASON: Saw action on special teams vs. Kansas City 1/6 in Wild Card Playoffs…was inactive for final three games.

Was scouted by Indianapolis scout Cal Murphy, who saw his potential as an offensive lineman when Federkeil was called in to play end on short yardage situations.
In his fifth year, he totaled 31 stops, 12 for losses, four sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble return and four passes defensed.
He was Canada West nominee for J.P. Metras trophy as CIS Lineman-of-the-Year and was unanimous conference All-Star and second-team All-Canadian choice.
He was named was named University of Calgary Athlete-of-the-Year in 2006. He was one of two CIS players in East-West Shrine Game.
In 2005 he was team nominee for Lineman-of-the-Year and was second team CIS All-Canadian. He started seven games as sophomore and had 14 tackles, five for losses, four sacks, two FF and one blocked FG.
He played in four games as freshman…had three tackles and was the youngest player ever to dress for university at 17 years and two months old.
