When Daryl first came out of the draft some people thought Daryl would only be an average lineman at best because of his lack of size. But what he lacked in size he made up in speed, he even had the fastest Lineman 40 yard dash at the Combine. In 2010 Daryl Washington had 78 tackles,1 sack, 1 Forced fumble, and 1 Interception that he fumbled.
After adding some weight In the 2011 Off season so far he's proven that he is a leader of the Cardinals defense.

On the 2nd play of the game Washington blitzed from the left side of the line.Speedy Washington was unblocked and hit Eagles Quarterback Micheal Vick with his shoulder in the Mid-section just as the ball was released. Washington broke 2 of Micheal Vick's ribs which led to Vick completing just 47% of his passes and a Cardinals win. Washington also had 1 more sack that game.
