Musical Description
Now a multi-instrumentalist and song-writer Dave Bainbridge is co-founder of IONA. His own material is much of the same style as that of the band's, joining progressive rock with Celtic folk. On his only solo album Dave himself plays more than twelve instruments. He is joined by eleven musicians for bass guitar, violin, cello, drums and percussion and vocal work. These include three female vocalists who sing in English and Gaelic.A number of members of Iona have recorded solo albums, or co-operated on each others.
