Early career
Prior to public service, Dave practiced law in the private sector. He previously served in senior positions for the Ohio Governor's Office and the Columbus Mayor’s Office after working as an award-winning journalist for the Columbus Citizen-Journal.
Awards
As County Auditor, Yost won several government finance awards during his term, including the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting four times from the Government Finance Officers Association. As a prosecutor, he won the first-ever capital murder case in Delaware County, and he prosecuted the largest drug ring in Delaware County history.
Personal life
Dave currently lives in Delaware Township with his wife, Darlene. They have three children and one grandchild.
