David Allen Raley is a convicted murderer and currently on San Quentin's Death Row. He was convicted of first-degree murder in the death of Jeanine Grinsell on February 2, 1985 in Santa Clara County.  mansion in Hillsborough, stabbed the two girls dozens of times, then locked them in the trunk of his car and went home to play Monopoly with his family. Later, thinking both were dead, he dumped the girls in a nearby ravine. McKenna, bloodied and battered, pulled herself out the next morning and flagged down a passing car. At the time both girls were still alive but Grinsell later died at the hospital.

Raley currently has an appeal pending in the California Supreme Court and waits for U.S. District Judge Jeremy D. Fogel
