David Cowan is the chief reporter for STV News

Cowan began his journalism career at the age of 16, as a junior reporter for The Courier
in Dundee
. He later worked in the newsrooms for the West Lothan Courier, Aberdeen Press and Journal and the Dundee Evening Telegraph before moving into broadcast journalism as a reporter for Radio Tay and Radio Forth.
