Dill was first elected to the House in 2002, and was re-elected in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010. He currently serves as the DFL Lead on the Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Policy and Finance Subcommittee for the Legacy Funding Division. He is also a member of the Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Policy and Finance and the Jobs and Economic Development Finance committees. He served as chairman of the Iron Range
Legislative Delegation during the 2005-2006 biennium.
Dill graduated from Southport High School
in Indianapolis, Indiana
, then attended Indiana University. He served as city administrator for the town of Orr
prior to being elected to the Minnesota House.
As a result of diabetic nephropathy, Dill now has only 15% renal function and will eventually need to go on dialysis or have a kidney transplant. He is hoping for a transplant from his sister. Dill has announced that he nevertheless intends to run for re-election.
