David Hickman is an English Emmy Award
winning film producer/director who has his own film company, Dash Films. He has worked through many genres, for example:
Brief History of Time, Elegant Universe, The Columbine Massacre, Bali Bombings, Capture of Saddam, Ultimate Guide to elephants, sharks, dinosaurs, snakes and many more films.
In 2004 he won an Emmy Award for his editing work on Elegant Universe. His production company, David Hickman Films (now called Dash Films), also received a Peabody award
for the same production.
In 2009, David was appointed as a senior lecturer in the Theatre, Film and Television Department at the University of York.
