David B. Pollock is a former American
child actor best remembered for his portrayal of Rudi Stein in the movie The Bad News Bears and its sequels in 1977 and 1978.

As a father of two school-aged children, David was alarmed by what he read in newspapers about public schools. He became chairman of the school district's Committee for Effective Schools and served for fifteen years on Moorpark's school board. His leadership helped Moorpark earn a national reputation as an academic powerhouse.
When he watched his community struggling to create jobs and keep local businesses open, David ran for the Moorpark City Council and won. On the City Council he has fought to eliminate red tape hampering businesses, promoted smart-growth development, pushed for funding and building of affordable housing and for the Ruben Castro Human Services Center for families in need.
David received a BS in Management from the Pepperdine School of Business and Management in 1986 and an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA in 1992.
In 2011, he filed paperwork to run for Congress against Representative Elton Gallegly
