David Soames is an English
former professional footballer
who played as a forward. He played in the Football League for Grimsby Town
from 2002 until 2005, but retired in 2006, aged just 21, due to a persistent injury problem that hampered most of his playing career. He is now a community football coach for SportsLincs in North East Lincolnshire
, helping to run soccer classes in order to keep children off the streets.
