Biography

Storey spent his childhood in the dramatic landscape of the English Lake District before going on to study art at London's Hornsey Art College (now Middlesex University

). He began working in the music industry in 1977, when he joined Sir Elton John's

In 1986, David Storey became a founding member of the innovative and highly successful The Bureaux. This landmark collective of 20 artists and designers worked from a warehouse in London's Clerkenwell district. In 1987 The Bureaux were chosen by The Design Council to represent Britain in A Festival of Design, in Vienna.

His work has since featured in numerous exhibitions including shows at: The Cultivate, Vyner Street Gallery; The Brighton Museum and Art Gallery; The Gallery in Cork Street; and The Coningsby Gallery, London.

David Storey is an elected member of the Chartered Society of Designers, and The Society of Typographic Designers. He is married with a son and step daughter, and lives in Leighton Buzzard just north of London, England.
