History

Daystar Technology's roots lie with the former Daystar Digital, Inc. In 1997, when Apple discontinued the licensing of Apple clones, GDTS was founded by Gary Dailey. GDTS (Gary Dailey Technology Services) acquired the assets of Daystar Digital, Inc. and managed servicing of the Daystar Digital products which were in the process of manufacturing (work in process). GDTS also offered full support for all of Daystar Digital's past product lines. In October 1998 Daystar Technologies, Inc. was incorporated and it acquired GDTS.

In January 2000, Daystar Technology partnered with Interex, Inc. (later XLR8, Inc.), to re-engineer its line of XLR8 products. The XLR8 line of products incorporated software and hardware IP (Intellectual Property) from Daystar Digital. The addition of the new technologies allowed Interex to develop a line of products with exclusive performance capabilities for the Macintosh Market. The line of products include the MAChCarrier G3, MAChCarrier G4, CarrierZIF and MAChSPeed ZIF upgrades.

In October 2002 Daystar Technology acquired all engineering, IP and resources of the XLR8 brand. It then redesigned all core software products and CPU upgrades for additional performance.
