politician and medical doctor. She is the Medical Director of Clayton State University

In 2008, Honeycutt was once again soundly defeated by incumbent David Scott
in the 13th Congressional district, despite a huge edge in fundraising. Honeycutt raised over $4.7 million dollars to her opponent's $1.1 million, yet lost 69% to 31%. She had run unopposed in the Republican primary.
In 2010, unlike 2006 and 2008, there were several candidates competing for the Republican nomination for the 13th Congressional District. Honeycutt came in second in the primary, and lost overwhelming to frontrunner Mike Crane in the runoff election that followed. Crane in turn lost to incumbent David Scott.
