Plot summary
In Delirium, a cure for amor deliria nervosa (love) had been discovered and was mandatory for citizens 18-year-old or over. Before the procedure, patients had to conduct a test to obtain a score, which would determine their future. Lena looked forward to the procedure as she was convinced by the government that love was a horrible disease that must be destroyed from man kind's system. However, she fell in love with an invalid (people who had not taken the cure), Alex. As an invalid, Alex pretended to be cured to escape imprisonment. In order to pursue love with Lena, he tried to persuade her to run away with him. Although Lena struggled with that, she ultimately decided to go just seven days before the procedure. Their escape did not worked as planned as it was discovered by the government, making it impossible to get away. Lena managed to escape, only to find out that Alex was left behind the fence.Inspiration
