Taylor was a news reporter for A-Channel Manitoba (later Citytv Winnipeg) from December 2001 to May 2003. He then became the weekend sports anchor and eventually sports anchor for Citytv News @ 6 from Monday-Friday. Taylor left Citytv July 12, 2006 after CHUM Limited
cancelled news programming in most of its markets.
He began doing play-by-play for radio broadcasts of the University of Manitoba
Bisons football team in 2006. He works with analysts Matt Rollason and Mike Howard on 101.5 UMFM. The duo called the Bisons national championship win in November 2007.
