Dervish Cara was an Albanian
leader known for his role in the Albanian Revolt of 1844, a revolt also known by his name as "The Revolt of Dervish Cara". He was born in the village of Palčište, near Tetovo
. He was captured by Ottoman forces and sentenced to death, but the sentence was later reduced to a lifetime sentence. He died in the Ottoman prisons.
