, in 2004. They are currently with Neon Tetra Records and their debut double A-side single Templeton/Instinct was released on 10 December 2007. Future Pop was released as a free download on Monday 29 September 2008 from www.redtorpedo.com. The album "Cybernation" was recorded at the legendary Chem19 studios was released in 2011. The band are currently recording the forthcoming album "Out of Orbit". The instrumental ep "Beatscreamer" was released as a free download exclusively from the band's official website www.desolationyes.com in 2010.

Beatscreamer
Beatscreamer is a 6 track EP by Desolation Yes! which is entirely instrumental, and covers the genres of techno, dance, eurobeat and downtempo. The EP is designed to be modular, so if you prefer certain styles to others, you can create your own mini 'Beatscreamer'. There are two alternate art covers depending on personal taste.

The band's line up has changed over the last few years but has recently settled on Paul Elliott: vocals

, Miro Cuba Drums, and Shisho bass. Paul and Ross are members of the original lineup, although Ross left the band in 2006 on a 17-month hiatus to concentrate on study, and has since returned to his original position. Miro and Shisoo joined shortly after.

Because of the use of synth, samplers and drum machines the band's sound can be defined as a genre of electronic music

The band have had extensive airplay on XFM, Radio One and community radio as well as a host of positive reports in various newspapers and magazines, and have been hailed as 'Glasgow's next big thing'.
