Virgin Australia proposal

Devonport and Burnie Councils have both been vying for the attention of Virgin Australia. Both airports currently only have one airline servicing them operating multiple flights daily to Melbourne (QantasLink in Devonport's case). Virgin Australia have investigated the potential for flying to both airports from Melbourne, yet if they were to fly to the north west Tasmanian coast, would only fly to one or the other. No official announcements have yet been made.
