Dick Dolman

Dirk Dolman (b. July 2, 1935) is a Dutch politician. In 1970, he became a member of the Dutch parliament as a member of the Dutch Labor Party
(Dutch:Partij van de Arbeid) (PvdA). From July 17, 1979 to September 14, 1989 he was the president of the Dutch parliament.

. Dolman took an independent approach, which garnered him great authority from all the parties. Although the PvdA was not the largest party in the 1981 and 1986 elections, he was nevertheless re-elected as president. In 1989, he was defeated 75 to 68 by the emergence of Christian Democratic Appeal
