, he gained legendary status by leading the College of the Holy Cross

) almost repeated this feat in 1948, losing in the semifinals. Julian was engaged by the Boston Celtics
after his college success, but he only recorded 47-81 before he was dismissed in 1950. Julian returned to collegiate ranks, coaching Dartmouth College
