Controversy

Snoop Dogg and MTV faced a lawsuit on December 25, 2003 by Doris Burns, an actress who appeared in the show. Burns claimed she had been made to look like she had been engaging in sexual activity with another actor who was portraying her husband.

According to Burns, during the filming of the episode, the producers of the show had asked her to pretend she was having sex with her acting partner. The actress refused, but she agreed to wear a tank top and to hold the actor's hand while sitting on the bed. When the show actually aired on August 31, the scene was very different; Burns's torso was blurred, giving the impression of her being nude, and the actors's hands were made to look as if they were grabbing the others's genitals.

According to the Associated Press, Burns was accusing Snoop Dogg and MTV of breach of contract
