Taste of Dorset

The first Sunday of August every year is Taste of Dorset. Similar to Taste of Minnesota, many of the restaurants sell small portions of their food, and many businesses are open for people to look around. Some of the food includes: pizza, tacos, fried chicken, quesadillas, corn on the cob, pies, spaghetti balls, shaved ice, pork on a stick, frozen bananas and much more! Along with an average of four musical groups, there are many games for children as well, such as minnow racing and a prize wheel. The Mayor of Dorset is also named. People can put a name into the raffle for $1 all summer, and the winner is drawn at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. There are shuttle buses as well that bus people to and from their cars, as there is not much parking, only what is along the highway.
