In the early 1990s Hazlewood freelanced for Fleetway, Eclipse, and Marvel Comics
, and in 1991 became the regular inker on DC's Adventures of Superman
. Partnering with penciler Tom Grummett
, Hazlewood inked that book until 1993. From there he and Grummett moved to Superboy (vol. 3), which Hazlewood inked from 1994–1998.
Moving into the 2000s, Hazlewood was regular inker on The Flash
(vol. 2) from 2000–2003. From there, he moved to DC's Doom Patrol
volume four (2004–2006), inking John Byrne for the book's entire 18-issue run. Next, Hazlewood began his collaboration with Nicola Scott
on DC's Birds of Prey from 2007–2008, and then Secret Six
(again partnering with writer Gail Simone
and penciler Scott) from 2008–2010. In 2010, Simone, Scott, and Hazlewood moved to Wonder Woman for a handful of issues, and then Scott and Hazlewood took their artistic partnership to Teen Titans (vol. 3), which they have been working on together from 2010 to the present.
