Dr. Evil was an action figure
in 1968 who served as the central villain for the well known Captain Action
.
's first two years while fighting for justice in his 13 different super hero personas, he had no adversaries outside those imagined by kids who played with him. Then in 1968 the sinister invader of earth was created by Ideal Toys to battle Captain Action and Action Boy
insidiously named Dr. Evil aka Dr. Tracy, father of Captain Action's late wife (Facts based on DC Comics
in which due to a malfunction in his lab altered him into an intellectual being). It is obvious he was a creature with pale blue skin with bulging bloodshot eyes with black pupils, pointy ears, a menacing grimace with red lips and teeth, and an exposed brain. And like Captain Action he was a master of disguise, although only two masks were available for him back then which were Dr. Tracy and Dr. Ling (Dr. Evil used the same body mold as the captain, 12" tall and jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, hips, knees and ankles). Unfortunately, the attempt of bringing an enemy to the Captain Action line failed, during his last third wave. (In late 1968 a second issue of Dr. Evil was done including evil disguises and weapons commonly referred to as The Lab Kit in a 13" X 16" window display box).
