The Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, is a professional golf
tournament on the Ladies European Tour
(LET) that was played for the first time in October 2006. Its prize fund of €
500,000 makes it the fourth richest on the LET, after the Evian Masters
. It is played on the Majlis course at the Emirates Golf Club
, which also hosts the Dubai Desert Classic
on the men's European Tour.
Since 2009, Omega, a luxury watch
company based in Switzerland, has been the title sponsor of the tournament.
Annika Sörenstam
won the event the first two times it was played. Sörenstam beat out Karrie Webb
in 2006, and in 2007 defeated Iben Tinning by two shots after Sörenstam birdied 17 and Tinning double-bogeyed the 18th. The 2008 event, which was Sörenstam's final tournament before her retirement, was won by Germany
