The Durham School of Music is a music school in Ajax, Ontario
. It is the largest music school in Ontario outside of Toronto. The school offers lessons in most instruments and voice, and music theory and history. The music is owned by Jay Jones, a professional guitarist, and significant teachers have included Juno winner Larry Crowe and church organist Faye Bueler.
In 2011, the staff of the Durham School of Music was shuffled, and pianist Kenneth Hand, who had taught piano at the school for over nine years, quit.
