This small village also have more link with the temple town Kancheepuram which is 9 km away. To this place, Lord Vardha (Varadharaja Perumal) will visit on every Chithira Pournami (around April 15) to every house in the village.
Mamandur has a century old Sundaravalli Nayika sametha Sri Lakshmi Narayana Perumal kovil, which is a place where the Lord grants wishes of his devotees. The moolavar having Sri Lakshmi Prattiyar on his lap is regarded very powerful. The temple also has Raghu Kethu dosha nivarthaka icon on the floor of temple prakaaram and Adhiseshan with Aanjaneya for all graha dosha nivarthakam.
60 years after its last renovation in 1950, the temple has been recently renovated in 2010 and with the efforts of some good people and the Samprokshanam happened on 5 September 2010 (Sunday) in Simha Lagnam between 0530 am to 0700 am.

The village of Mamandur (near Dusi) belongs to the Thondai mandalam which is famous for its temples. Among the 108 Sri Vaishnavaite shrines, 22 are situated in and around Kanchipuram.
