The Dublin Celts and Craigavon Cowboys competed in the EuroBowl in the late 1980s/early 1990s when it was run by EFAF's predecessor, the EFL.

The 2010 tournament was held in Dublin to coincide with Dublin City being the European Capital of Sport in 2010. The semi-finals take place on the 26th of June with the final and third place play-off on 27 June. The 2010 tournament saw the return of the Dudelange Dragons of Luxembourg to face of against Irelands UL Vikings, the Brussels Bull of Belgium and the Lelystad Commanders of the Netherlands.
