The school acquired the name of Easington Community Science College (formerly known as Easington Community School) in January 2007, meaning there will be more money available to the facilities of the school, and have also acquired the status of an eco-friendly school.

School facilities

The school has around 70 classrooms, which include Science, English, Maths, Modern Foreign Languages, Information Communication Technology, Drama, Physical Education, Religious Education, Statistics, and a new state of the art Music studio, which has recently became an art classroom, as well as a library with 10 computers.

There are two sports halls, an AstroTurf

 football and cricket pitch, and four full size football pitches.

Within the larger sports hall, there is a climbing wall, 2 5-aside football goals, and cricket batting net facilities, inside the sports hall, there is 2 trampolines, a climbing frame and other gymnastics facilities.

The school is soon to be rebuilding an older part of the school to blend in with the newer facilities.

House system
