Its status as a Language College means the pupils have a wide selection of languages to learn and the school has many links with other schools across the globe. It is a reliable school with equal rewards and sanctions.

History

The school moved to its current, larger site in 1954 and since then has been a mixed, comprehensive school. The previous site of the school is now Easingwold Primary School. In 1994 the Europa Block was added to the school so that more classrooms were available specifically for languages, since then a new Maths Block, Science Block and separate Sixth Form building have been added to the school grounds.

Vertical Tutoring

As of September 2010, Easingwold school has become a part of the 'Vertical Tutoring' scheme, which basically consists of merging all years 7 to 13 into mixed tutor groups, helping to break down age barriers, increase confidence and allows the older years to learn important social skills for working with younger children.
