The East of England Regiment (EER) was the infantry unit of the Territorial Army of the East Midlands
and East Anglia
prior to 1 April 2006.
The East of England Regiment had very strong links with both the Royal Anglian Regiment
and the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment.

The EER was renamed the 3rd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment
on the 1st of April 2006 as part of a larger reorganisation of British Army
regiments. The new Battalion is expected to play a large role in major overseas operations between 2007 and 2009.
