Scott, Scott Herren (aka Prefuse 73, Delarosa, Piano Overlord, & Savath and Savalas) started out DJing for a small club in Atlanta, and producing hip-hop or hip hop music. Upon entering into a relationship, they decided they should create their own label with Scott making/producing music and Pete creating the graphic design.
