• Football classifications differ slightly for some of the EKL schools. For the 2011 season, Gardner Edgerton and Blue Valley West will compete in Class 5A. In addition, Blue Valley Southwest will compete in Class 4A. Starting in 2012, Gardner Edgerton will compete in Class 6A while Blue Valley West and Blue Valley Southwest will compete in Class 5A. The KSHSAA sets football classifications on a two-year cycle.
