Ebenezer is an unincorporated community

. It lies six miles north of Springfield
and three miles east of Route 13. Several homes, a church and a fire station are located there. The church located there is the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, founded in 1832, the longest continuing meeting United Methodist Church west of the Mississippi.
The town was once home to the Ebenezer College which operated from 1845 when it was as an academy and in 1909 it was united with Scarrit College.
