Edipresse is an international media and communications company headquartered in Switzerland
. Edipresse’s main activities include newspapers and magazine publishing and digital media.
Edipresse Group has operations in Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Romania and several countries in Asia including China and Hong Kong. It publishes over 180 titles and websites and has more than 3,500 employees.
In 1982, Feuille d'Avis de Lausanne became independent from Lousonna S.A.
The holding company, Edipresse S.A., was created in 1988 in order to regroup the various business activities under the Edipresse Group name.
The 1990s were marked by expansion abroad: into Spain in 1990, Portugal in 1992, Poland in 1995, Greece and Romania in 1998. In 2000, Ukraine, Mexico in 2001, Russia in 2003, seven countries in Asia in 2005 and France in 2006.
Today, the Edipresse Group publishes more than 160 titles, including newspapers and magazines, in Switzerland and abroad.

The Geneva printing centre, located in the suburbs of the city, uses an offset rotary printing machine to produce the newspaper Le Temps, Le Matin Bleu, and several other periodic publications. As for the Imprimeries Réunies Lausanne, the quality of their work is used as a point of reference for editors, artists and advertisers. The plant is built on know-how which is demonstrated by the most demanding creations: books and art reviews, catalogues of large exhibitions, advertisements for luxury items. The skills developed in these areas are put to use on a diversified range of production - from the high-circulation magazine to the small item of printed matter - and are dynamically managed in a highly competitive sector on the international scale.
Finally, the last to arrive in the Edipresse Group was I-Press printing plant in Montreux. It possesses state-of-the-art printing machines that allow it to continuously improve the quality-to-price ratio of its services.
Edipresse Switzerland employs around 1,800 people and uses some of the most modern production equipment in Europe. It has a decentralised structure with largely autonomous units.
Edipresse entered the Spanish market by acquiering a majority share in the Hymsa Group (El Hogar y la Moda SA) in Barcelona. Edipresse Hymsa, a solid family-run firm created in 1909, is one of the leading Spanish magazine publishers.
Since 1997 Edipresse is also present in Madrid through its partnership with the Semana Group, which publishes, among other titles, the celebrity magazine Semana and buyer's guides.
In 2003, Edipresse Hymsa acquired a 60% majority shareholding in Focus Ediciones SL. This publisher has been active in the Spanish market since 1992 and publishes the country leading's magazines - Revista DT (Down Town), Nox, FHM and Citizen K.
Edipresse also is half-owner of Multimedia Lua, a multimedia production company managed by Manuel Campo Vidal, an anchor for Andalusia

. Multimedia Lua produces a wide range of programmes, from talk shows to celebrity programmes.
It publishes about ten publications, including the leading magazine in the women's press, and the oldest women's magazine in the country, Przyjaciólka, established in 1948. In February 1997, the group launched the bi-weekly magazine Viva!, the Polish equivalent of Paris Match
; the magazine was a rapid success, with over 250,000 copies sold for each issue. In 2009 Edipresse sold the magazine Przekroj, which it used to operate from 2001, to Polish businessman Grzegorz Hajdarowicz.
Initially entering the market in association with its Greek partner, Antonios Liberis, Edipresse owns a controlling 60% stake in Edipresse AS Romania, since 2004. The remaining 40% are held by the Axel Springer Group, who integrated their Romanian publications into the group in 2002.
Until December 2004, Edipresse AS Romania was named The Romanian Publishing Group SRL (RPG).

History
Edipresse began its operations in January 1907, as Société de la Feuille d'Avis de Lausanne et des Imprimeries Réunies S.A. (known today as 24 heures-Imprimeries Réunies S.A.), publisher of two daily newspapers, the Feuille d'Avis de Lausanne (established in 1762), and the Tribune de Lausanne (established in 1893) and was the owner of a printing plant. It later joined forces with printer Lousonna S.A..In 1982, Feuille d'Avis de Lausanne became independent from Lousonna S.A.

Edipresse operates different printing plants in Switzerland. The Edipresse-Lausanne Printing Centre and the Edipresse-Geneva Printing Centre are both specialised in the printing of daily newspapers and periodic publications. Benefiting from the most modern installations, the Lausanne centre prints the three daily newspapers 24 heures, Le Matin and La Tribune de Genève, or more than 200,000 daily copies with an average length of 140 pages.
