store in the heritage listed MacArthur Chambers
would be redeveloped into an Apple Store. The proposal is expected to be approved by the end of May 2011, with the redevelopment complete around September.
In November 2009, the owners of the Wintergarden announced a $A100 million upgrade of the shopping centre. In July 2011, Georg Jensen
opened a store in the Edward Street frontage of the Wintergarden, further consolidating Edward Street as the home of international designers in Brisbane. Hermes
operate a two-storey flagship on the corner of Edward St and Elizabeth St, diagonally opposite Hugo Boss. It is the first store in Brisbane, and the fifth in Australia. Gucci has also announced plans to open a store on Edward Street, taking a tenancy near Hermes. Canali

On November 10, Chanel
