Elisabeth of Poland (1326–1361) was the eldest child of Casimir III of Poland
and his first wife Aldona of Lithuania.
. After Aldona's death, Casimir went on to marry three more times. His second wife was Adelaide of Hesse
, who bore Casmir no children. He was never properly divorced from Adelaide before secretly wedding his mistress, Christina. She did not give Casimir any children either. Casimir remarried for the fourth and final time to Hedwig of Sagan

When Casimir married Hedwig, he was not properly divorced from Adelaide and Christina, so his marriage to Hedwig was considered to be bigamous and their three daughters illegitimate.

. The wedding took place in Poznan on 28 February 1343. Elisabeth received a dowry from her father of 20 thousand kop (cents in Prague
).
