Background
Not much is known about Ella's life. It is known that she grew up in a single parent household since her father was absent. Her mother was a drug addict as it has been stated by Ella. Amanda seems to be aware of that because she once stated that Ella grew up with a "pill-popping mother". When she first started working at WPK she was just running errands, until she met Sydney Andrews who helped her by giving her styling tips at first in order to improve her image and then she gave her the responsibility of becoming her exclusive publicist for an art gallery that she owned. While it was strongly suggested that they were good friends at the beginning, Ella at some point found out that Sydney was having two affairs at the same time with Michael Mancini and hi's son David Breck. Ella then told David the truth about Sydney thus destroying her friendship with her. Sydney then tried to get revenge from Ella by sabotaging her career. Because of that feud Ella became a prime suspect when Sydney was found dead in the Pilot.Storylines
