Elles Berger is a retired Dutch Radio and television presenter. She is the daughter of athlete Chris Berger
.
In 1956 Berger's television career started when she was invited to act as a television announcer for VARA
and became a television presenter a few months later. Berger presented programmes such as The game no yes no no, That Girl Has Some do not need and hosted the Nationaal Songfestival
twice in 1964
and 1968
, Berger even provided the Dutch commentary for the 1968 Eurovision Song Contest.
In 1989 she switched from VARA
to RTL-Véronique
(now RTL 4
) and hosted and commentated on sports programmes. In 1997 Berger retired from her 41 year career on radio and television.
She is married to former Welsh football manager Barry Hughes
and they have three daughters.
