The mountains dominate the area in a hilly form and a taller one to the south and east. It is filled with farmlands and groves in the central part. The Loussios

The population from 1991 to 2001 revived growth and was one of the only places in the municipality that saw population increase.

History

Modern Elliniko is one of the current villages founded by the people of Ancient Gortys (Arcadia). Until the beginning of the 20th century, the village was known as Moulatsi. The economy has always based in agriculture, and feta cheese from goat herding is the village's main product. Until the pavement of the road and the one linking Karytaina and Dimitsana in the mid-20th century, the village didn't had paved roads or electricity. Until the mid-1980s, much of the houses were stone-built. The consumption was small.
