and appeared in Ayer fue primavera in 1955. As an actor he appeared in acclaimed films such as the Gothic horror film Sangre de vírgenes (1967), La Bestia desnuda (1971), La Gran aventura (1974), Angel, la diva y yo
(1999), and the pinnacle of bizarre argentinian thrillers Cargo de conciencia (2005) which was his last acting role.
Vieyra began as a film director
in 1962 and is most credited in this area of Argentine cinema. He inaugurated his directing career with Dr. Cándido Pérez, señoras
in 1962, followed by the sci-fi film Extraña invasión
in 1965, and Sangre de vírgenes, in which he also starred. He acted in other films (i.e. La Bestia desnuda). He retired from filmmaking in 2005 and died in 2010, aged 88.
