and Mel C) and LA-based hit songwriter Pam Reswick. The song was possibly written about Rachel Barber, a former girlfriend of Carella's who disappeared in March 1999 after leaving a dance class. Barber, 15, told Carella she was going to meet up with "an old friend" who had promised her work that would bring her "heaps of money". Barber was later found to have been murdered by Caroline Reed Robertson, her former babysitter. Robertson was convicted of murder and sentenced to 20 years in prison with a 14½-year minimum.
Carella, who began writing songs at the age of 14, said: "Some of my songs are fun and happy, but most of them are deep. It all depends on how you interpret them, but yes, I did write songs for Rachel, especially around that time."
Since releasing his debut album, he has been traveling the world and taking a break from life as a musician. Emmanuel worked on one of the world's largest cruise ships with Royal Caribbeans "Freedom of the seas" as dance captain in 2007. As well as "Navigator" and "Mariner" of the seas as a Singer Dancer in 2006, 2008 and 2009.
In 2010, Emmanuel appeared in an Australian production of the musical West Side Story
