• On 12 July 2011, Emperor Securities Limited accused the law firm K&L Gates and its Hong Kong partners of being negligent and breaching a contractual agreement after the law firm failed to return HK$40 million, according to its lawsuit. The law firm in turn brought charges of theft against it's former partner involved in the matter.
