Description

This species is slender and erect in habit and usually grows to between 0.3 and 3 metres in height. Its flowers are white, pink, blue or purple and appear from early autumn to mid spring (March to October in Australia).

Taxonomy

The first formal description of this species appeared in Fragmenta Phytographiae Australiae in 1859 and is attributed to botanist Ferdinand von Mueller
