The current members of CENELEC are: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Albania, Bosnia/Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Turkey and Ukraine are currently 'affiliate members' with a view to becoming full members.

Although CENELEC works closely with the European Union

, it is not an EU institution.
