The club holds the most championships in Russian, having 5 championships to its name. In 1994 the team won the vice championship behind CSK WWS Samara. From that time to 2004 when the club finished third, the team always achieved at least a second place finish winning titles in 1995, 1997, 1998, 2002 and 2003.
After the fall of the USSR Energy then played in Russia's Premier League.
From 2000 to 2001 the club played under the name Energy XXI Wiek Voronezh («Энергия XXI Век» Воронеж).
In the 2003-04 UEFA Women's Cup season the team reached the quarter finals where they lost both legs 2-1 to the eventual winner Umeå IK
. The next season they reached the quarter-finals again. On the last matchday of the 2009-10 season they overtook Zvezda Perm for second place and thus qualified for the 2011–12 UEFA Women's Champions League

History
The club was playing two years in the USSR women's championship first league, the second tier. In the first season the club managed a midfield 8th place, the next season the club gaind promotion after winning its division and the following playoffs against the other division winners.After the fall of the USSR Energy then played in Russia's Premier League.
From 2000 to 2001 the club played under the name Energy XXI Wiek Voronezh («Энергия XXI Век» Воронеж).
