The team was founded in 1924 after the merger of Triumf Bucureşti and Romcomit Bucureşti. At the end of the 1929-30 season Juventus became champions. After the reorganisation of the Romanian football to a divisonary level, Juventus had 7 consecutive appearances in Liga I

the club succeeds to activate once again in Liga I

obtained before the war started. During 1946-1952 Juventus made 6 consecutive appearances in Liga I
, changing its name a number of times: Distributia, Competrol, Petrolul, Partizanul and Flacăra. In 1952 the team was dissolved, and all of its players were moved to Ploieşti
, forming a new team, Petrolul Ploieşti

In 1992 a team with exactly the same name was founded, Juventus Bucureşti, but has no ties with the old club.
