History

Football Club Villefranche-Beaujolais was formed in 1927. The club is notable for their successes achieved in the 1980s and early 1990s before falling into the lower divisions where they currently reside. For the 2007-08 season, club president Jean Gachon stepped down from the position. Gachon was instrumental in helping Villefranche get to the Championnat National
