History

FalconStor was founded in 2000 in New York. The company's engineering and management teams are enterprise storage and networking software veterans. They originally joined forces at Cheyenne Software, where ReiJane Huai, later FalconStor CEO, was chief architect of the ARCserve, the industry's first client/server storage management solution and an industry standard in backup and restore technology . Cheyenne Software was later acquired by CA, Inc. (formerly Computer Associates International, Inc.). FalconStor was listed at #5 in the Forbes 2008 list of 25 fastest growing technology companies. In 2007 the company started a join-venture with the Chinese Academy of Sciences
