Létourneau began synchronized swimming at age 10, and she is a graduate of the University of Toronto
. She won a bronze medal in the team event at the 2000 Summer Olympics
. She also won two bronze medals at the 2001 world championships in Fukuoka
, Japan
: one in the duet and one in the team.
Létourneau is a two-time Olympian, competing for Canada in the team and duet events at the 2000 Summer Olympics
in Sydney, Australia, and at the 2004 Summer Olympics
in Athens, Greece. With Claire Carver-Dias
she won a gold medal in the Women's Duet at the 2002 Commonwealth Games
in Manchester. After the 2004 Olympics, Létourneau decided to retire from the sport.
Currently, Létourneau is residing in Pickering, Ontario
with her husband, Jason Roussel. She has recently opened her own pilates studio, Health movement www.healthmovement.ca
